Monday, December 15, 2003 - 06:29 am My engine was just rebuilt and has maybe 100 miles on it, but it dosn't start right away. It cranks a while before starting. Does anybody know what could be causing this? Could my cam sensor be in the wrong spot?

Monday, December 15, 2003 - 03:02 pm Common cause for this is the fuel pump relay. There is a oil pressure switch in parallel with it. If the relay (or wire going to it etc...) fails, then the fuel pump does not run until the oil preasure "gets up". Does the FP run for a second or so when you first turn on the key? here is a link to the wiring digram FP relay and oil pressure switch are on the left side. http://www.gnttype.org/techarea/images/wiring_images/ecm_turbo.jpg

Tuesday, December 16, 2003 - 08:12 am had this basic problem on mine. fuel pump was worn out. new pump fixed it, used a stock syclone pump for an upgraded replacement. along with a stock syclone fuel pressure regulator, which gave me 8 psi more fuel pressure.
