On December 13th 2003 about 10:30pm or/so. A Black GN was out on I35E South outside of Dallas. When he Blew by a couple of Toyota Tacomas, Who were in town for a meet. The first taco(a black 2002 2wd reg.cb) was blown away pretty bad by the Grand National; Then I was able to pull up beside the GN to see if I had what it takes. (a beige 97 ext cb 2wd)
We were going about 55 - 60 mph when we both drop the hammer down & take off. We were right beside each other until Something happened to the Black GN. There was a orange ball of spark & flames, then smoke rolling out from under the car. He immediately slowed and made the first exit. I felt so bad for him, by the time we turned around to see if he needed some assistance. We couldn't find him.
I am just here to see what happened and to let him know I'm concerned.
He blew the "up pipe" off. Probably pulled over and grabbed the screwdriver out of the glove box, fixed it and went looking for you.
