I've just rebuilt my G.N. motor, haven't
started it up yet. I wanted to use Mobile One oil
But have had several people tell me to use a
regular oil to break it in at least 2000 miles
then switch to syn. oil any commets!!
Also was any one at the woodard dream cruise in
detroit last year and seen a grand national on fire,? thats the car I bought??

That's because almost all new cars come from the factory with regular oil in them. At the first oil change, you should switch over to Mobil 1.
On the other hand, Corvettes come from the factory with Mobil 1 from the git-go. It doesn't seem to hurt them to break in with Mobil 1.
The biggest advantage of synthetic oil for you northerners is your car starts so much easier in the winter, and you can extend the time between oil changes to 7500-10,000 miles depending on
severity of use. Mobil 1 is definitely superior to any natural oil out there.

Thanks Don for the update, don't worry about
driving in the winter here in Mich, the salt
they put on the roads would eat off my body
in one season I'm sure.
