| | Friday, August 23, 2002 - 10:42 pm a while back i was backing out of the driveway and the tranny made a noise and stopped working so it was a stripped sungear and i rebuilt the tranny(stock) and added a trans-go no yo-yo sysco cal transmission recalibrator and shift imporver i didn't really want it but the car is not in my name (i'm 16) and my dad doesn't want me racing so the point is i don't notice improvment in the shifts so i am gonna pull it apart again cause it leaks real bad and am gonna put a different kit in it so what is the best one? i drive it everyday and the engine is stock but not for long what do u reccomend? i don't mind hard shifts. thanks, James

| | Saturday, August 24, 2002 - 07:37 am james , I rebuilt my trans @2years ago. When I rebuilt it I installed a Transcat shift kit from TCI, pulled out the B&M kit. The car now has firm wheel spin into second and chirp into third....has been known to break free going into third at WOT. This kit supposedly reprograms the trans shift points(it does). I replaced the B&M kit just for S&G and I m glad i did. The kit was 44.00 and worht every penny in my opinion....84gn 12.90@109mph. good luck!

| | Saturday, August 24, 2002 - 07:40 am James....also added 10vane pump and hardened stator(highly rec.) You cant build a 400hp v6 and expect the stock 200r4 to handle it...take my word on it! sam
