Hoping someone can direct me as to what parts I should use in my trans. My '87 GN has these mods:
bored .030 over, TRW forged pistons, Ruggles 205-210 cam, ATR iron heads with SS valves, ported intake, RJC power plate, 009 injectors, TE-61 turbo, 3" DP, 2 1/2" exhaust, Chip....etc...you get the idea. I installed a new 10 vane pump with hardened stator shaft about 20,000 miles ago when the engine was built b/c the shaft was wayy worn. The trans has about 130,000 highway miles on it. I've noticed that 3rd gear shifts are becoming mushy and slow, especially under hard acceleration. Time for a rebuild and just wanted some opinions on what parts to use/where to get them. Although I've built a few transmissions in Tech school, this will be my first 200r4 build. But, I am familiar with what is involved. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!
check out the tranny section on www.turbobuick.com .... there is a "sticky" post at the top that goes into detail what you want to do to your tranny to make it bulletproof.
