In my 87 GN the transmission has a pretty bad slip from 3rd-4th and when i get on it in overdrive. My real problem is when i am on the highway in overdrive and i go to pass someone, i give the car some gas, it slips, and sometimes blows grey smoke out of the exhaust.
Is the slip causing the smoke or is some kind of engine problem?
