my 87 regal type t is all black and grey interior i have the floor shifter on it like everyone else but i can also change gears on the steering column at the base on column where it meets the dash my question is is that normal there is no hole in this base to mount a column shifter but it moves freely is this an option or did the guy before me do it there is a th350 tranny in it i had trouble with the tranny cable to the floor shifter the cable thy gave me was foor the for the 700r4 and i its just a tad to short to get all the way adjusted so im gonna leave it alone till i get my ratchet shifter i posted all my info in car and price in the electrical discussion
That is normal. That is how the ignition locks the shifter.
