I am new to these cars and was wondering what type, weight and how much fluid do you put in the trans in a fluid and filter change? also, where is the best place to install a drain plug in the trans pan? Lastly, i adjusted my TV cable back to the GM setting and the car seems to rev a little higher before shifting than it did before. The car still shifts very firm, but was wondering if is should be like this.
thanks in advance

It should take about 8 qts. I think. With a total rebuild it takes about 12 qts. It's always good to have a little more on hand than not enough.
I put my drain plug in about center (drivers side to passenger side) and towards the back.
As far as which fluid to use thats just personal preference. I think most use synthetic. I use AMSOIL Synthetic Supershift ATF, works great. I might be a little bias though seen as I sell it.

As far as the TV cable adjustment just double check that it is at the stock setting one more time to make sure. HTH,Curt.
