Ok I had an 86 Regal a few years ago, it was converted to a 454 with turbo 400 tranny.The shifter that was in that car was a Fairbanks gate style which I been tryin to find but to no avail???Does anyone know where I could contact this company, I tried a bunch of sites but still come up with nothing...If not has anyone installed an aftermarket shifter that they can say is a good swap for original???I dont really care for rachet style because of hang-ups between drive to neutral to reverse. I am partial to the gate style, the type that you can slam forward and is protected from jumping to a higher gear unless you slide it sideways,then up......The fairbanks shifter was the one shifter that I loved but hard to find, I would settle for similar style from a different manufacturer.
