Does anyone know everything that is involved in changing a non BRF tranny be the same as a BRF? And, has anyone done this, and what were the results? Good? Bad? Ugly?
I know that the valve body needs to be changed but is no longer available, but a retuned one is from one of the vendors. I know that the servo needs to be changed, but a billet servo is available from another vendor.(Don't know if the General still has them. And the governor, which is also no longer available. But some people have had luck with drilling, or grinding them down to make them lighter.
I have a tranny originally from an 85 Delta 88. It came with the D5 converter, and has the right speedo gear, but shifts way too early, and doesn't have the 3rd gear pressure switch, or the right plug. I know that the above 3 things need to be replaced, but is there anything else to converting these?? I still have my BRF, but with two turbo cars, and a heavy foot, I want a backup(or two). TIA

Brian
