Can the front seal on a tranny be replaced without removing the tranny (or engine) from the car?
I realize that the tranny must be disconnected and slid back, and the TC removed, but otherwise, can, or is, it done?

I suppose it could be, if you can slide it back far enough, but by the time you undo the mount, unbolt from the back of the motor, unhook the trans lines, shift linkage, speedo cable, electrical plug, TV cable, driveshaft, cross member bolts, you can just slide it back and drop it. That makes it easier to work on the seal....

Well, at least I wont have to slide the tranny out from under the car!
LOL
Does the new seal just press in, or what is involved?
