Thursday, September 27, 2001 - 09:18 pm Can the front seal on a tranny be replaced without removing the tranny (or engine) from the car? Friday, September 28, 2001 - 06:57 am I suppose it could be, if you can slide it back far enough, but by the time you undo the mount, unbolt from the back of the motor, unhook the trans lines, shift linkage, speedo cable, electrical plug, TV cable, driveshaft, cross member bolts, you can just slide it back and drop it. That makes it easier to work on the seal....
