GNTTYPE Discussion Group: Transmissions and Torque Converters: What other upgrades?

John Jones (Redline40)	Monday, January 21, 2002 - 11:01 am I'm almost done buying all the parts for my trans rebuild.....So far I've got the following (all Art Carr Stuff): -Hardened Stator -13 vane pump -Wider 2nd gear band -9in converter -and some other parts that needed replacing (Planetary gear, Intermediate drum, Front internal gear) Any other things I should get? Thanks!-John
Ken Mosher (Kenmosher)	Monday, January 21, 2002 - 11:11 am Consider new clutches, new steels, band and a shift kit. PMAC makes a "6 pack" arrangement that allows you to run more clutches/steels for the 3rd/4th gear (nice if you race the car).
John Jones (Redline40)	Monday, January 21, 2002 - 11:30 am Thanks.....I was gonna get my rebuild kit and clutches from art carr......but I'll check out PMAC....also I have a trans go shift kit in there from before it went......how 'bout servos? should I change those out for upgrades? Thanks- John
