I installed the Eaton posi two weekends ago. Now that both wheels will spin when I "get on it", I am getting some tremendous wheel hop. I can tell that from the research I am doing that the lower control arms are the main culprit and that either boxing them or replacing them goes a long way toward eliminating wheel hop.
Is this the correct first step? Any other suggestions?

Try the airbag on pass side. You can also use a bag on the driver side. My car works well with just the pass side. This is cheaper then the parts
and labor then the traction bars
I've never tried air bags, but I always replace at least the lower control arm bushings - even on my daily driver. Even just replacing the 4 lower bushings with poly and not boxing the arms eliminates most wheelhop. Changing all 8 axle bushings to poly is great. Better handling, ride is not too stiff, positively locates axle. See the above thread "Poly Bushings for Lower/Upper Control Arms". I welded (boxed) my upper and lower arms to save $, buying them done is easier.
