I'm going to box the lower control arms and replace the bushings. Does anyone have a technique for removing the bushings w/o collapsing the arm? I'm think that I should wait 'til after the plates are welded so the plate will support the open section. But, if anyone has a good way, I'll be glad to hear it.

Thanks

I used a couple of pipe couplers from the local hardware store and a press.

Cut the pipe couple in half, slide the two halves in the arm around the bushing. Use a smaller coupler in the press (one small enough to push on the rim of the bushing and still go thru the hole) and then press them out.
