i have a 84 gn and i need axles. where can i get them, and if a junkyard is a good place.
Well GM discontinued new axles for the 8.5 back in 2000 and I doubt you would find one of these rear ends down at your local junkyard. You might check the TurboTrader but its been awhile since I've seen any axle shafts for sale there. Your best bet is to get a set from Moser Engineering at www.moserengineering.com. Just look under the custom axles section for c-clip axles. They have sets already made for the GN's so just tell them what your application is. They are $225.00 apiece.
