Wondering What type, wight and how much gear oil to put in the rear of my 87 gn. Also, whne using synthetic gear oil, is an additive needed? One other thing, is there a gasket from gm for the rear housing on this car, or do i just use rtv sealant?
thanks

The owner's manual has recommendations as to weight and type (Hypoid) of fluid (don't have it in front of me and it might be specific to temperature/climate?)

I personally like the Red Line oil with the posi additive (I have a posi) already mixed in.

I use a gasket that I buy separate (I think it's Fel Pro).
