Gary Heuston (Magius231) | Friday, February 15, 2002 - 07:28 am I think they suck.. I put air shocks on my 76 Skylark one time...they pumped them up to a decent but not real firm pressure. The first bump I hit I pulled over to the side of the road expecting to find the rear end laying snapped in half...it was that loud. I took them off less than a week later. They also don't do a lot for traction since theres almost no give in them at all so they tend to work against the suspension trying to maintain traction (so I've been told). |
Thomas Black (Thomasb) | Sunday, February 24, 2002 - 09:17 pm i was looking into air ride (whilest trying to build the dream car in my mind) some of my more foreign inclined friends have air ride, and it actually works out rather nice, most of you have probably seen it/heard about it the ride is really nice not to mention the height change, i never heard alot of noise to it...it wasnt nearly as bumpy as when they got slammed within an inch of their lives (lol...no pun intended ) with spring swaps anyone else have an opinion on the air ride systems? ive never seen the system on a car of this type, only trash-mobiles and then imports...in all of yalls opinions, would it be offensive to Buick to install something of that nature? Opinions of all types welcome |
