I've never followed the front end rebuild and lowering threads too closely before, but now wish I had. I tried searching the archives, but didn't find what I need. Here's my question. I want to lower my car, and use the current 16" wheels that I have. The problem is that I have 3.5" backspacing on them. This pushes the wheels out a little, and on my GN they always rub on nasty bumps. I'm sure a good set of shocks would fix this, but not if I lower the car. I have heard of some suspension changes that push the wheels out a little, but I need to know if there is a set of parts that will pull them in. I only need 1/4 to 1/2 inch, and that should do it. I want to use the wheels that I have(Prime #255 16x8 w/3.5"BS) They don't make them anymore from what I am told, so getting the right BS is not gonna happen. Is there a set of parts that will do this, or do I have to go to a narrower set of tires? I'm running 245 50/16 in the front now. Oh, I don't want to drop it all the way, just lower it maybe an inch or so. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

WHEN YOUR TIRES RUB ON NASTY BUMPS. IT MIGHT BE FROM WORN OUT SPRINGS. BY GETTING 1" OR 2" LOWERING SPRINGS IT SHOULD HELP THE RUBBING BECAUSE ALL LOWERING SPRINGS ARE STIFFER. WHEN LOOKING FOR SPRINGS CHECK THE FT LBS PER IN. THE MOST FOOT LBS PER IN. WOULD BE BETTER.
