I have a fully restored 87 GN and my weatherstripping is brand new.. Yes they leak..After inspection I found that there is a gap between the T-tops and the car body.. The weatherstripping will not move anymore than it already is... Does anyone have a suggestion on how to fix this problem??

The weatherstripping is a new GM original... I wouldn't even consider aftermarket for such things like that... I was wondering if other GN owners experienced problems like this with their T-tops.. Now I know I know... T-tops inherently leak, but I had an 87 IROC Z-28 with t-tops and had NO problems, so I know that GM can put out a t-top product that is sound!!!

Are the adjustments you are making done from the retainer? You may have to enlarge adjustments holes.

How much would I have to enlarge the holes? and would it cause any other damage or leaks?

Have 87 GN replaced weatherstip and used Kirbans anti rattle kit still have some problems. Just found a 3M product called Strip Caulk and anther Foam Tape which is use between front and rear retainers to shim weather strip closer to window. hope that helps but getting the windows aligned is a bear. Any suggestions would be greatly preciated.

Replacing all weatherseals around T roof but had some rust that has damaged a lot of the channel piece that holds down the weatherstripping (only by the front winshield). Any suggestions for this problem would be greatly appreciated!
