Here is my problem. I've got an 86' T Type for near nothing, but it has been hit in the front and rear. Afraid the frame is bent. Interior is perfect, I have receipts for the motor totaling $4600 for new long block and other work. I am not a body man so what I want to do is find a regal as a donor and put everything on that car. I do not know enough about regals in general and their differences, so here is the question. Will any regal 81' to 87' be all right as long as it is a V6? Any certain ones I should be looking for? Any that I should avoid? Anything you can see that I am not thinking of? TIA

any 81-87 Regal should be ok for the fenders, doors, trunk lid, bumpers, tail lights, and headlight bezels(would have to be painted black for black out, if necessary). For the hood, grill, and radiator supprot I would use them from a 84-87 turbo regal. Buy the way did you buy this car in Mineola, Tx? Curious because I lost a deal on an 86 that had been hit in the rear and front and also had recently had the engine rebuilt. I almost had it, for $1500! Hope that helps.
Sorry misunderstood your ? Yes 81-87 would be fine as long as everything is swapped over(harness,engine,transmission,rear, etc.) Sorry for the confusion!
Yes that is the car. I got it for slightly less. But I had money in hand and hauled it off right away. Thank you for answering the question. I found a 84' for $250 and wondered if I could swap most of the stuff over without it looking different. The suspension on the front is different too isn't it? Thanks Again!

for your suspension... if the (quick ratio) steering box & (fatter/thicker) swaybar are still good in the TTYPE, swap them over.

This may help you a little. I did this very conversion once already, and will be doing it again. I did it to a wagon though.
