John Hudson (Farmer) | Tuesday, December 24, 2002 - 07:25 am Does anyone know if there is a paint code for the black-out trim on the GN's? I'm painting my GN and have noticed that the color of the headlight bezels, wheel mouldings, etc... is slightly different from the body color. Someone told me it was Satin Black. I have two cans of satin black from two different manufacturers and they are very different and neither look like the right one when they dry. I would just as soon mix the right color myself. Thanks for any help and Merry Christmas! John |

I haven't been able to find a plater in my area that has a clue on how to apply anything to make it close to the original. I assume since it has the word Flouro in it, it must contains some of that nasty chloride that every body is afraid of. If you are going for originality I would try to find some good used or NOS(new old stock) parts. |

Satin Black Trim paint that they sell in the parts store works okay on the plastic pieces. Just make sure that you wait to paint them in low humidity enviroment as that effects how much of a gloss comes out in the finish. Thanks |
