Phil Aubrey (Paubrey) | Tuesday, December 31, 2002 - 11:38 am On the 1986 T-Type with Lear Siegler seat option, trim code 793, the seats were all cloth and had electric controls located in on top of the inner lower bolster. I have never seen this option and was wondering if any one had it on there car. |
andrew ostensen (Mybuick) | Tuesday, December 31, 2002 - 06:25 pm on my 84 gn i have the lear siegler seats. but mine are cloth on the outsides and leather in the middle with leather headrest. i have the electric controles too even though the seats are different material. |
Phil Aubrey (Paubrey) | Thursday, January 02, 2003 - 10:08 am The Lear Sirgler was first introduced on the 1983 Century T-Type. It was standard on the 1984 Grand National and had leather inserts with manual bolster adjustments. In 1985 it was only available in the T-Type and was all cloth seat again with manual bolsters. In 1986 electric bolster controls were added to the all cloth dark gray seat and it was a T-Type only option. Anyone ever seen the 1986 seat? |
Eric Fisher (Ericf) | Thursday, January 02, 2003 - 10:59 am I've never seen one but I think it was an 86 only option. NA for the 87. Somewhere and I think it was in one of Dennis Kirbans newsletters or one of the facts and figures books but it was something like less the 100. My information also shows that seat option was also available on 86 Century and 86 Somersets too. |
Nick Gianopoulos (Ngianop) | Thursday, January 02, 2003 - 02:46 pm My '84 T-type has Lear Siegler seats like Andrew's but with manual controls.(wish they were electric) Sounds like bucket seat options are all over the map. |
Phil Aubrey (Paubrey) | Thursday, January 02, 2003 - 08:51 pm Eric, thats correct it was an 86 only option with electric controls. The 86 sales binder shows a picture of it in a Somerset but it was offered in the T-Type as well. I have seen about every combination of options but never this one |
