Hello, I just got an 87 GN a month ago. I am the second owner, the first owner had no garage so it sat in the weather, Thus I need a paint job BAD. I dont want to pay the $4,000 quote for laquer I was wondering if any one has had a re-paint and used like a high gloss black or something close?

You might do well to have the car buffed and polished. Or, do it yourself. My GN had been outside most of its life as well. The clear coat is cracked, etc. Over the first summer I owned it, I rubbed and polished and waxed the thing. Now, even though the basic paint is crappy, it looks OK. It is to the point where I can wait to save the money in order to get the paint done correctly.
