| | Tuesday, December 30, 2003 - 09:39 am Hello Folks, I'm doing a little research into the 1984 WH1 Designer Series Buick Regal and the pin stripes that were used to separate the black and silver paint. As many of you know, the WH1 paint design is based on the 1982 Grand National. This car had red pin stripes between the colors. It appears when GM started making the Designer Series WH1 in 1984, they started their run using red pin stripes a-la 82 GN. Then, somewhere in production, they switched to the black and silver pin stripes and continued that to the 85 and 86 model year. What I would like from you is whether or not your 1984 WH1 car has (or originally came with) red stripes, and the last 6 digits of your vin. These will not be posted on the web, just used to find a production sequence of the stripes. If you happen to know your build date, that would be great. If you don't feel comfortable about giving the vin data, that's fine, just tell me the color of your stripes. I would also be curious if the red stripe cars have the D86/DL4 RPO code. I hope to gather this data and post it on the registry. I'm also building a WH1 toy page which should be online tonight. It's will be located at http://members.aol.com/wh1regal/toys.htm Thanks for your help. Please reply to TheReflex1@aol.com with WH1 in the subject line.
