I noticed some of the readers' TRs have mud guards on them. Seeing as how the wide tires spray debris on the doors and rear quarters, which damages the paint, they seem like a great idea. I was wondering if they were available as an option in 87 of if they are just after market parts, like the ones you see at Canadian Tire or Wal-Mart. If they are original buick parts, do dealers still carry them?
Since I don't find the mud guards' look particularly appealing, I was thinking of hooking them up with some sort of quick-disconnect mechanism.

You can attach them with binder clips, quick on and quick off.
