is there any way to get to close? i think mine has jumped off the track. the motor still works fine just the roof will not budge, it also started to rattle quite a bit since it got stuck.

There is a manual crank for the astroroof. Just pull the little cap beside the switch off and use a big allen key.

I had a similar problem with one of my 1986 GN's. The problem was the motor would run, but the roof wouldn't open or close. The manual crank was fine to open and close the window though. I fixed the problem by replacing the astroroof motor. Ever since, it has worked properly.
