| | Wednesday, October 17, 2001 - 05:14 pm again, my tape deck went dead on me today. when i placed a tape in the radio, the thing began to click and click alomost like it was missing something..before this, the player worked fine. after prying the tape out, the hing still clicks as if the tape was still in it. i've maganed to make it where i can still listen to the radio, any suggestions? chad

I WENT TO THE JUNKYARD WHERE THEY ARE IN ABUNDANCE.TRIED SEVERAL OF THE CASS PLAYERS AND I GUESS WITH THE AGE A MULTIPLE OF THINGS CAN HAPPEN. I SEEMED TO HAVE BETTER LUCK WITH THE CASS/EQUALIZER UNIT.WHEN THIS UNIT BREAKS I'AM SWITCHING TO THE NEWER GM SYSTEM THAT LOOKS LIKE IT FITS AT HOME . ALL YOU NEED IS AN ADAPTER KIT. JUST MY .02CTS

They completely redid mine for around $200 with a full warranty (one year, as I recall). And they can turn the unit around in about a week.
