My 87 GN paint is cracking, its time to paint.
I have gotten serveral quotes, ranging from $1,800 to $7,000. I want my car to look nice, it will never be in a show. Does anyone know approximately how much I should expect to spend. I live in eastern Pennsylvania. Any recommendations on painters???

Start going to car shows in your area. Ask people how much they paid and where. And if they are happy and why or why not.

Qoute should reflect on what needs to be done with the body. Do you have t-tops or sunroof? Also, the door hinges and "A" pillars are known problem areas. As are the bottoms of the doors.

I don't think that what you get is what you pay for when it comes down to these kind of things. You could have someone rip you off and charge you $5000. I would try to go for the shop that is most recommended and that has been in business the longest.
