hello, I was wondering how can i get a black-looking turbo cover. i have seen one on a gn that is on this site parked behind an f-16 fighter jet. I cannot get in touch with the guy. the cover almost looks like it is fiberglass. i know my description may be hard to understand. any advice is appreciated

I don't know if you got my response to your question about the heat shield. Just in case you didn't I am the guy with the GN next to the F-16. I ordered my shield from Kirban, he is selling them for DC TECH. I don't know how familiar you are with them, but they come with a polished finish, I took it to a local shop here and had it powder coated. Was there a particular type of powdercoating that was used? I thought that the normal powdercoating would not hold up on a Turbo heat sheild. I am wanting to have my spare heat shield powdercoated to match some other underhood goodies but was afraid the temps of the turbo exhaust housing would discolor it.

Hi, you ask a good question. I think the temp that it was baked at was about four to five hundred desgrees. I haven't had any problems with it cracking or discoloring. But please by all means ask the question where ever you take it, or maybe someone on the site here knows about powdercoating and can answer this question better then I can. I wouldn't want you to damage or ruin the shield on info I am not positive about. Later Doug!

did you do the same thing with the 90 degree pipe and the radiator bar on the top of the radiator, i really like what you did with the dress ups under the hood
