Does anyone have and suggestions about how to affix the plastic dash cover that goes over the spedo? I have a full analog kit with VDO guages, I don't know if this matters, though. My problem is that the lower left corner never seems to clip into the dash correctly. It make controlling the interior lights a pain. Anyone have and idea of what can be done to correct this?
Is the little metal clip missing? There should be about 5-6 plastic tabs on the back of the panel. They should all have little metal clips on them that keeps them in place. You can use the radio panel as a reference...it has the same clips...
I've got the same problem with my dash involving the VDO gauges. I have all of my clips on the back of mine, but it won't stay in place in the lower left also. I'll let you know if I find anything that works. Good Luck!!
Like Shawn said, check to make sure all the plastic tabs have the metal clips on them. If you do and the dash cover still moves, take a few of the clips off where you're having the problem and bend out the middle tang. Just bend it out a little bit and then try it, you may have to bend one or two a nice little bit. But if you remove that piece often, you may have to go back and rebend those pieces to keep it all tight, atleast that's what I do. Good luck,
