| | Monday, February 18, 2002 - 10:04 pm Just test fitted what I believe to be Kirban underhood braces. (Bought them used.) Apparently you need to drill holes in the side of the engine compartment to mount them. I used to have a Pontiac Grand Prix with similar braces from the factory and I could swear they attached to existing bolts in the engine compartment. Does anyone know if the Grand Prix brace will bolt right up without drilling? Thanks, Greg Matsui gmatsui@hawaii.rr.com

| | Tuesday, February 19, 2002 - 07:29 am I don't think they will. I have pulled off all kinds of G-Body bracing at the boneyards looking for bolt-on stuff. Gary Bartlett took these braces, cut them to length, flattened out the ends, and redrilled them to get them to fit the existing underhood holes.

| | Saturday, February 23, 2002 - 04:43 pm Greg, Got mine off a boneyard cattletrack(Caddy)..forget what year/model. Bolted right into existing fender and rad shroud holes w/no clearance or intake(K&N) problems. Measure the needed length(using the above mentioned existing G-body holes and head for your favorite yard! Happy hunting, Larry
