Monday, December 23, 2002 - 02:21 pm Hey Lonnie and Scott, Would you guys consider letting a 4.1 production block run in the class if it's under 250"? It's weaker than the 109 block anyway right? It might at least be amusing when we spit parts all over the track.

Sunday, December 29, 2002 - 09:01 pm Sorry, but NO 4.1 engines Kendall. Rules are rules, you need the original turbo regal block. Sorry I didn't respond to you more quickly. Some of us go out of town for the holidays without our computers... ;) Now quit trying to sound Canadian!

Tuesday, January 07, 2003 - 02:46 pm I just wanted to make sure I'm clear on this........I can still run my 84 turbo production block can't I?

Tuesday, February 04, 2003 - 06:56 pm Dwayne, Did you ever get an answer as to whether you could race your 84 production blocked car? Chris Murtaugh cmurtaug@nalu.net

Wednesday, February 05, 2003 - 07:33 am Yes, Dwayne can run his 84 block as it is a production turbocharged engine block for a 1981 to 1987 Buick Regal. 4.1L turbocharged motors were never put in '81-'87 Regals. The rule that only 109 blocks are to be used simplifies the rule language. There are several 3.8L blocks that were used in '81-'87, see http://www.gnttype.org/general/v6hist.html

Wednesday, February 05, 2003 - 10:14 am Then the rules need to be reworded to correctly represent the meaning.
