Yeah, I would have to see it to really believe it. I just couldn't believe it when I read that article. I do know that for a car to be turned in for the Cash for Clunkers program, that it had to be drivable and registered and insured for at least a year.
I still can't believe some of the cars that the article reports as being turned in. Wouldn't the dealer know that they could get more than the $4500 that the govt was offering?

Saw the claim ... not sure it wasn't a clone though. If someone is that retarded, then the car must've been totally stripped without the original engine. Heck, the rear suspension is worth $4500 alone. People are morons!
