those things hook like a champ. I felt like the red headed step child at Noble, being the only one there with 26" tires. I had them down to 9 psi per Wide Open Phil and things began to happen right.

If you listen to my 21.1 pass all you can hear is the M/T SP whining away.

Why 26" tires? I have no idea. I call it failed research and habbit. This car has had 26'ers forever and a day. We will see if Santa stocks 28x10.5x15's.

I contemplated going with a set of Sportsman Pros. It does look like they were working well for ya!

now...I may be on the verge of hi-jacking this thread, but.....

what's the big deal with 26" tires?? I know *some* guys run taller tires, but I thought it was better to stick with the stock height (26") because that's what the stock ring and pinion and transmission were setup to work with, no?

All I know is that there were people running similar times as me with a buttload better MPH. I was also at 5350-5400 RPM at the traps. I would like a little more to play with and I think a 28" would deliver.

I am also told that the 28's hook better. I will run these until their death and then try a set of 28's for comparison.
