TA/TE turbos

Hey guys this might be a stupid question but what do the acronyms TA and TE stand for. From what I have read the TA's are stock appearing turbos and the TE's are not. Correct me if I am wrong. Thanks.

Re: TA/TE turbos

Pretty much. The TE turbos have an integral inlet, and not a bolt-on inlet. See photos on our site comparing turbos.

The nice thing about the TA series turbos is that you can have a larger (even *quite* a bit larger turbo) and the untrained eye will never know. You can just say "sure, it's stock" and get them to race.
