Wheel Molding applications

I have seen a recent post about the wheel well moldings for Grand Nationals. I have recently bought a 1987 GN. All of the wheel moldings were missing upon delivery.

My question is; what other cars have similar moldings?

I saw someone mention that Monte Carlo SS have the same molding. I am looking for a known list so that I can start a search at salvage yards.

Thanks,

Mick

I have found a complete set of Monte Carlo SS Moldings. Has anyone actually used them?

I'd also be interested in knowing what else might work, mine are shot.I'm not that fussy on the GNX mouldings.well not on a regular GN anyway

I would presume mouldings are brand specific but cutlass supremes may work i know off the junkyard trips i've made that the doors are exactly the same i have one now on my gn so i would assume other parts will interchange, if you don't have a part to go buy print pics off the web as reference and happy salvage hunting.

I think the wheelwell curvature is different amongst the G-Bodies, so that would imply the moldings are different.

Last I checked, the chrome moldings were still available ... you can have those powder coated and be in business.

I have a chrome one here I got from a dealer to replace a damaged one I have and that's what I plan to do.

I also think they are likey different brand-to-brand. Not sure any other marque will fit.

Also...splitting hairs, but, aren't these aluminum vs. 'chrome' i.e. chromed aluminum or chromed steel?

(Still P.O.'ed that body shop didn't retain my r.f. front fender molding for my '67 California GS when I had some body work done on it years ago...)
