A note to the new users
 

We seem to have a sudden influx of new members on our Forum.

First, welcome! :bye:

Second, please note that it is important to (1) read the site to see if there is an answer to your question already (2) search the Forums, even going back a year or more, to see if your question has been answered (3) if you do choose to post, insure your posting has a meaningful title since others may try to look it up in the future ("HELP!!!!1" or "Hey!" are not meaningful. Put a bit of info in your subject, please. (4) Give as much info about your car and your problem as you can to begin with. An '84 TR and an '87 GN are not completely the same for some issues. Details about what mods are on a car help a lot, too!

These cars are approaching 25 years or more in age. Things can and do go wrong. Most common issues have been discovered and cures have been found. You are not the first to have them. So a bit of searching on your part will save those who have seen all the usual questions from getting exhausted from having to answer them repeatedly.

Many of our newest users seem to not be as familiar with these cars as those who have owned them for much longer.

Totally understandable!

There are some things you can do, as a new user, to help others get your problems solved and figured out.

1) Type in clear, correctly spelled, correctly punctuated English. Don't use phone text shorthand (i.e. b4, LOL, etc.) or slang. It just makes posts hard to read and could hamper getting an answer.

2) Detail what your car and/or combo is. The answers for a '87 T, '84 GN, and '78 Sport Coupe will likely be very different.

3) Having what your car is in your profile is a good idea. It helps others know what you're asking a question about right away. Mentioning that your car (and hopefully, mods) are listed in your profile will save loads of typing in the future.
