Interior Lights, radio, cigarette light. BOOM
 

Im sitting in my 87 regal turbo t with my friends and my passenger pushes in the cigarette lighter and after a few seconds later BAM. I here a quiet pop and say damn. I check the fuses and the courtesy lights fuse is blown. Now at this point the lights, radio, lighter dont work. I end up replacing the fuses and still nothing. I havent got out the multimeter yet but, has this happened to anyone before. Where to start. any help greatly appriciated. Right now its just the purrrr of 400hp i listen too.

Lighter is not stuck "in", is it?

no, i take it out and same thing. i checked power to the fuse box and i got power.

does any ne have any idea. could be a ground somewhere. :deadhorse

It could. Most likely a short. I would disconnect the lighter power wire and trace it back. See if that solves anything. The socket may be damaged and shorted.
