Power antenna replacement?

I need to repair my power antenna. Is there a special tool or socket to remove the nut on top so I don't mess it up? Any other tips about this would be good to know as well as I've never done one of these before.

Two articles on doing this.

Never used a special socket myself, but I'm sure one exists. Ask a local car stereo shop what they use.

When I worked at Willow Run, GM, the Trimmers had a special socket with notches cut in it to to secure the nut. I actually have a similar earlier version on one. Don't know if anyone sells it though.

Thanks for the advice. Would a flat blade screwdriver with electrical tape on the tip to minimize damage and a hammer to tap it suffice? Other ideas welcome.

If anyone else is in the same boat and doesn't want to pay for a socket you'll probably only use once, I just used 2 nickels covered in electrical tape and got it right off no problems/scratches etc
