Stolen 87 GN in Philly!

My brother's 1987 black GN was stolen on Thanksgiving night. I do not know the VIN at this time but the car had 40K Original miles and was in very good condition - both interior and exterior. It actually smelled like new inside because car was stored for close to 15 years.

Please let me know if you come across any info.

Thanks.

VIN and any distinguishing characteristics would be very helpful. All 87 GNs look pretty much alike. Any unique options, markings, or add-ons are critical in recognizing these cars.

Post the vin and tag number if you can. Where in Philly was it taken from? I'll check the usual spots where they dump stolen cars after they gutted them..

Ok, the VIN is:

1G4GJ117XHP460701

The car is VERY STOCK and ALL Original. The antenna was disconnected because it did not work and I believe the front vanity plate had a liberty bell image on it.

The interior looked new and there were no major dents. The exterior was dull as needs be be polished.

The GN was stolen in South Philly.

Thanks for being on the lookout!

Was it a hard top car? T top? Moon roof? Also what options did it have? What type of tires were on it? Stock GN rims still? Every little thing counts!

The GN was a hardtop, with original rims and (Goodyear) tires. It had a cut off switch located just underneath of the steering column. I don't know if this was a dealer option or not. Also, it either had an Interstate battery or Pepboys.

Thanks.

Rich.. I just saw this GN coming to work today on I95 in South Philly on the back of a tow truck. Looked like a nice low mile GN. Check out this link to see the pictures http://turbobuicks.net/gallery2/v/Philly/Seen/

Sean, it could be my brother's car but someone would have had to put on that redish pinstripe. I actually live very close to where you took that pic.

I will ask my brother to check out your pics. BTW, my brother is a Philly police Detective!

Thanks for your efforts!

No problem. It had the original side molding and that's rare so you know it was low mile. It' also only had a inspection sitcker of 7/07 so I'm sure between those things he should be able to tell if it's his or not! It was super clean that's for sure!
