1987 GN Hardtop: 862 ORIGINAL MILES!

5 Attachment(s)
 I currently own an all original 1987 Grand National "Hardtop" with 862 ORIGINAL MILES!! Positively flawless in EVERY way. Full documentation in 3 ring binder from first day of ownership, all manuals, window sticker, bill of sale, warranty paperwork etc. Only the battery and oil filter are not original, but are AC/Delco parts.

I have a good idea what it is worth but would like to compare my "notes" of the market with our fellow enthusiasts. Thanks!

Only real way to tell the market value is throw it up on ebay. The market has gone down so much on the classic car market it's anyone's guess at this point. If you asked me a year or so ago I'd say easy 30 to 40K for that car.

The only real way to tell is to sell it. Beyond that, is to look at comparable market prices. And those won't be easy to find given the mileage.

The way to get the biggest bucks would be to put in some major auction: Mechum, Kruse, Barrett-Jackson, etc. But perhaps the best way to get a good reading on the price would be to have a professional appraisal done.

As was already said, this is a down market. We've already seen GNX prices drop in the market considerably. Yes, you could probably get sticker or a bit more than sticker. I'd be shocked if you could top $30k, perhaps even get close to it right now. But right now people are not letting go of their money for very much at all, short of food and shelter.
