Re: Stock harmonic balancer WANTED

One of those places might rebuild the one that you have, and send it back to you.
They seem to want cores.
FYI, for a 350 Buick they want $100 for core.
Just make 'em promise!

Re: Hard brake pedal at times.

No matter what brake system you have, be sure that someone didn't disable the brake warning light, or it may be burned out.
It won't fix your problem, but I bet it will help warn or remind you that...

Re: MeLtEd 3Rd brake light replacement

I'll consider a small writeup, but I don't claim to be an expert, nor do I have the finances to do much of an A-B test on LED bulbs.
The LED fixer kit is a high watt load resistor designed to...

Re: MeLtEd 3Rd brake light replacement

My goal is to replace the reflector with a new one, and replace the bulb with a LED style (carefully selected) to end any melt-down issues.

Fortunately, I didn't have any melt-thru in the top like...

MeLtEd 3Rd brake light replacement

So I dug into my third brake light, aka high mounted stop light, and noticed that the reflector assy. is melted around the bayonet based bulb, effectively capturing the bulb in eternity.

Re: Upgrading to the powered antenna possible?

I'm sure you can do it.
If you are going all factory, I think that there is a brace required on a GM OEM antenna, inside the fender. This helps keep it from rattling around.

As for wiring, there...

Re: Rear shock u-bolts?

I've cussed at them before and wished i had a third arm to hold the shock in place. If your body mounts are weak, shot, or worse, it can get a little tight in that area.
Fat fingers don't help...

Re: Which Fuel Pump Should I get this time?

Kinda a vague question but.....
Check with your chip maker if you are running an aftermarket chip.
Check with your alky mfgr. for their opinion too.
Whatever you do, avoid engine knock.

I "think" old body mounts would place the body lower toward the engine.
New motor mounts will make the engine higher.

It's...
