Ignition issues (was: sugar80)
87 gn still has absolutly no spark just turns over would faulty cam and or crank sensor cause no spark att all? did notice every once in a while car would discharge 4 a couple seconds then go back up 2 charge. thought this was a possible loose wire of some sort. never did find. been over charging system a hundred times cant find anything. beginning 2 think this is all related. would b thankful 4 any advice and help

First, please use descriptive titles for your forum posts. Your ID doesn't tell us much about your issue, so a short phrase that gives a bit of detail would help. (Not related to Mr. Tip Top, are you? )
Have you seen http://www.gnttype.org/maint/malf.html ? One thing that none of your work so far addresses is the TPS issue. (Code 22) It may be simply out of adjustment, or it may have an electrical problem. If your scan tool provides data, you can use it to see the value, at idle, of the TPS. If not, a voltmeter can be used. There are articles on the site that explain proper adjustment. The code 42 may be anything from a pinched wire to a poorly seated CALPAK in the ECM. Check the list of possible causes. What you changed likely offered no help, since it did not address any of the things throwing the error codes.

keller, thx 4 reply. sorry about about post not very good with computer and unfamiliar with site. will try 2 do better in future. again thx 4 help.
