what should i do?
Ok this is kind of a odd question. But I rebuilt the motor in my 87 T forged pistons, stock bore. But what I'm concerned about is i ported and polished the heads and matched intake. Also i added a comp. cam with .459 lift. I have the stock turbo rebuilt that. And adding a Big neck to the intercooler. so i plan on getting the turbo tweak chip package from them with 60lb injectors because i am upgrading to a larger turbo in the near future. fuel pressure reg. and other things i need to go with it. so my question is should i break the motor in with the stock chip and injectors? will i have drieveabilty problems due to the increased airflow of heads and cam? what do you guys think is my best route to take? also I am driving the car from NY to TX shortly after i install the motor and get it running. I'm going home on leave to do this. so will it be safe? to drive that far with stock injectors and that setup? Basically i just don't want to have a completely new setup with many different things changed to have a potential problems on the drive back. I'm Getting a knock gauge to have to i can watch that at least. Should i get a power logger too just so i can see what is going on? or would it be in my best interest to get the injectors, chip burned for my current mods, fuel adj. fuel reg. and pump hotwire kit??

Re: what should i do?
It will probably run OK, on the stock injectors and chip, but DON'T JUMP ON IT! They will not be enough for any sustained boost, even with the stock turbo. The heads will probably outflow the turbo, so it will max out pretty quickly.
If you need to drive the car, you should be OK if you take it easy ... BUT ... I'd go ahead and get the injectors and chip right now. Then add the turbo later (if it can't all be done at once) ... that will be safer. And yes, get a Power Logger and keep an eye on things!

Re: what should i do?
thanks for the quick response. So should i get a adj. fuel reg. or will it be pointless with a stock pump. I know that needs to go away anyways for a HV pump and hotwire. But should i run a adj. reg with those injectors or just leave that alone till i get a pump and wire kit? thanks in advnace

Re: what should i do?
I would suggest doing the regulator at the same time as the injectors. It is much easier to do when the rail is out and in your hands.

Re: what should i do?
... and do the pump ASAP. That's something needed regardless ...

Re: what should i do?
i just wouldn't romp on it till you get the fuel system upgraded, and have some scan tool data. If you run these cars lean you can tear up stuff quick
