Default 12 bolt GN G-Body custom differential 3.73 posi

Ihave built a proto type of rears i am going to start to produce more of if it looks like more people will be interested in buying.

Specs-
-Custom 12 bolt center section housing from a a-body GM 1965-1972
- all mounting poins will be same as stock location except for the upper control arm mounting points . (you will need aftermarket conversion upper control arms or redrill your originals if you think your able to do it write.)
-NEW 3.73 Yukon performnce street strip gears
-New Auburn PRO series posi unit
-New timkin bearings through out and new torringtion axles bearings
-New seals crush sleeve etc.
-New chrome rear cover
-30 spline axles with 3" press in studs 7/16 x 20

This rear is a direct bolt in replacement for your G-body car spring lower control arms even the brakes are usable from your old housing.

It will directly replace any 7.5 rear with only the upper control arm mounts and you actually might have to get a 3/4 inch longer drive shaft to replace a 8.5 reared car.

Pics soon

$1400.00

I believe the TRs and other "metric" era RWD cars use 12mm lug nuts, not the 7/16" ones the earlier cars used.

That still may not be correct. I just checked some of my core housings in the back and they have 7/16 20 thread. I think it might be 1990 and newer when all cars went to 12 mm on the threads... Still looking into this. Jim

As far as the G-Body goes 78-81 use 7/16 and 82-88 use M12 for wheel studs and lug nuts.
