Default maf problem

just got my te44 installed and took it for a drive and at 10lbs of boost the car dies. Hooked up the scan tool and the car dies as soon as the maf hits 255g of flow then comes back alive when the scan tool reads below 255. Is it a cutout from the computer, is there any way around it without the translator and lt1 maf that is cheaper. Never thought i would be maxing out parts this early in the game Thanks
Greg

What kind of chip are you running?
What is your FP doing when all this is going on?
Does the car just quite making power when it hits 255 and coasts along?
How old is your MAF?

Lightbulb Re: maf problem

See if your intake tract hoses are tight or leaking. They might only leak at high boost.

TT street chip
fuel psi according to digital gauge goes up to 50 or so but never below 45 while this is happening.
