looking for new 84 turbo with wastegate

does anyone have a source for hot air turbo's ???? I think my waste gate is stuck. How do i check it ? any info would be great ! I am also i trying to figure out what year gm had a turbo with a three bolt flange that bolts to the engine.

Sources include Limit Engineering, Precision Turbo & Engine, etc. They aren't that hard to obtain.

Is it the wastegate actuator you are trying to check, or the wastegate flapper? Neither of these would indicate a "bad turbo", BTW.

The Buicks are pretty unique to having this three bolt exhaust flange. The late-70s and early-80s Pontiac Turbo Trans Ams may have used them on their carbed turbos as well. However, they will not fit the FI Buicks.

the wastegate actuator. did the trans am turbo's bolt to the intake manifold ? Is there any way for me to post a picture on this web site to see if anyone can tell me what it fits ? It has a garret number 10018607 on it. I have googled it and came with nothing.

I think it is enough different that it would not bolt right on.

The shops I mentioned can tell you about the turbos and what fits what in a heartbeat.

Your search would work better if you spelled Garrett correctly.

Looks like that number is an early TTA turbo. Or the same as it.

thanks for the info !!!!! put the turbo on ebay and it sold within 12 hrs
