My vacuum block keeps having oil appear all over it and it is not coming from the up pipe or via the throttle body I don't think. I have the turbo inlet bell capped off and everything back toward the turbo is free of oil. The oil is somehow seeping down through the turbo vacuum line (I think that is what vacuum line it is anyway) and showing up all the way down to where the line ends at the inner fender at that unknown sensor (boost guage relay?). Yesterday under about 15psi of boost the car started to buck heavily and then I heard a pop. Turns out that the oil loosened up the rubber vacuum connectors at the vacuum block and this in turn caused the connector from the PCV valve to blow off and taking the boost line with it. The PCV rubber vacuum connector hose seems really flimsy to begin with. So where in the heck is this oil coming from? Doesn't make sense to me unless it is somehow travelling up through the PCV valve connecting hose. BTW, I had this problem before I recently replaced the PCV valve.

My thoughts would lean towards the PCV valve leaking and sucking oil up from the valley pan.
Make sure you replace it with an AC Delco of the right part number (since they were rated for boost and seem to be less likely to leak). You can also block off the PCV as a test and take a quick drive and see if the oil goes away ... if it does, then you found the problem....

I agree with Ken. CV893C (25095468) from an AC Delco source is the ONLY correct option for the 86/87/89 cars. See http://www.gnttype.org/numbers/8687pn.html Most dealers will not stock and will have to order. I've been able get one from Laura Buick, gmpartsdirect.com, etc.
