Security concerns (was Re: My '87 GN Stolen Today in California)
Any advice on anti-theft devices? I once had a motorcycle stolen that was locked with a Kryptonite "theft proof" lock"
What are most effective - fuel and battery cutoff switches? Steering wheel lock? Other ideas? (Nasty pitbull in backseat - sadly my Lab is a wimp...) I hate getting things stolen. If you have collector car insurance, at least you get full agreed value and zero deductible. Locked garage rule only applies at home Last edited by Keller; 03-11-2007 at 01:48 PM. |

Re: Security concerns
Grounded battery is quite effective.
Seriously, the more the better I would think. We luckily have not had ours ever messed with but I blame that on our location. We live in a good area...so far. I am having an alarm installed next week, but primarily for the keyless entry. Thinking about cut off switches, but haven't decided yet. If a car thief really wants it, he's going to get it regardless of what you do to prevent it.
