Default Re: Turbo rebuild?

I forgot to tell you I have a bigger fuel pump with the wiring upgrade. I run just about what your saying about 16-17 psi, I know I'm on the edge. Someday more octane...

Also Just ordered the ta 49 turbo.

Smile Re: Turbo rebuild?

Just my two cents stock set up street tires and your typical bolt ons I went 14.2.... Added alky with the street chip raised the boost to 22/23 went 12.9 all with awful 60ft times and street tires. Some food for thought....

Lightbulb Re: Turbo rebuild?

I ran 13.6-13.7 my first passes with an old Kenne Bell 9006 chip and nothing else. Still had the stock exhaust, catalytic converter, and tires. And ran 13.3 like that on a cold morning. I ran 12.1 on stock injectors and turbo, 20 PSI, with race gas.

Going 12s is not that hard.

Any large diesel truck shop usually can balance turbos, and it is not expensive.
